International Advisory Board Charter

Strategic guidance, ethical oversight, and global perspective for Biciid Center's mission of cultural preservation and digital innovation.
Purpose
The International Advisory Board ("Board") provides strategic guidance, ethical oversight, and global perspective to Biciid Center.
The Board does not exercise operational control but serves in an advisory capacity.
Objectives
The Board supports:
- Cultural preservation strategy
- International partnerships
- AI governance oversight
- Research collaboration
- Institutional credibility
Composition
The Board may include:
- Cultural scholars
- Archaeologists
- Digital governance experts
- Legal professionals
- International policy advisors
- Technology and AI specialists
Members must demonstrate: Integrity, Cultural sensitivity, Professional expertise.
Appointment & Term
Board members are appointed by executive leadership. Terms may be:
- Fixed duration (e.g., 2–3 years)
- Renewable based on performance
Responsibilities
Board members shall:
- Provide strategic guidance
- Review major policy initiatives
- Offer risk insight
- Support ethical compliance
- Promote international standards alignment
Ethical Obligations
Board members must:
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Maintain confidentiality
- Act in the best interest of Biciid Center
Meetings
The Board shall meet:
- At least annually
- Virtually or in person
- With documented agendas and summaries
Removal
A member may be removed for:
- Ethical misconduct
- Conflict of interest
- Reputational risk
- Failure to fulfill duties
Amendment
This Charter may be updated as institutional needs evolve.
