Biciid Center for Culture & Nature

The Biciid Center for Culture & Nature (Biciid Center) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, documentation, and celebration of Somali cultural and natural heritage.

Founded by a passionate community of researchers, artists, and heritage enthusiasts, Biciid Center works across eight interconnected domains — from oral traditions to climate impact — to create a comprehensive ecosystem of preservation and innovation.

Our work spans field research, digital archiving, community engagement, and the development of cutting-edge tools like Tiraab AI and Somali NLP applications. Preserving heritage is not just about looking back — it's about building a foundation for the future.
